A few words from past clients
At the Law Offices of Dishon & Block, we want to help our clients reach their goals in the most effective and amiable manner. The following is a collection of case studies and client testimonies.

"My Husband Won’t Pay Child Support and is Hiding Cash!"
Anna’s husband owned a chain of successful service stations. Yet he claimed his income could not justify any support for their children.
Dishon & Block worked with Anna to obtain a copy of each station's books. These records indicated that unreported income from fuel sales paid in cash and “under the table” far overshadowed the business’ other revenue sources. In addition, the firm obtained an emergency court order to inventory the contents of a safe in the station-owner’s home where he kept significant cash and found tens of thousands of dollars in unreported income. Once these actions were taken, the husband agreed to settle the case quite favorably for Anna and her kids.
"I Want To Keep My Home!"

When Steve phoned Dishon & Block, things were not going well for him. He bought his house before he was married, but now his wife was claiming that he had to sell it because she owned a large part of it. During their marriage,Steve had paid off the mortgage using the money he was earning from his construction business. And now his wife and her attorney wanted him to sell his home to pay her the portion she was claiming was hers.
Dishon & Block worked with Steve to develop a strategy that would allow him to keep his house and negotiated a creative way to payoff off the amount owed his wife by leveraging the equity he had in the home. In addition to keeping his home, the agreement also included that his wife relinquish any claim she had to his business.
"My Husband Won’t Pay My Alimony!"
Sherry was served with divorce papers by her husband. She called her husband and he told her that he was no longer in love and that she wasn’t going to get one cent from him. At the time, Sherry had no money in her name and no job opportunities. Her immediate and long term future looked grim.
In a panic, Sherry contacted Dishon & Block and the firm took immediate action filing papers with the Court. Sherry was granted a hearing by the Court to get spousal support from her husband. Despite her husband’s protests, Sherry was able to get a monthly check in an amount that allowed her to go back to school to get that degree she always wanted.
"I’ve Been Paying Spousal Support for Years with no end in Sight!"
Chris was married for 12 years and had been divorced for over 10 years. His original Spousal Support order provided for paying support to his ex-wife and he was under the impression that he would have to pay spousal support for the rest of his life. This open-ended burden did not seem fair.
Dishon & Block developed a strategy for Chris; immediately filed for a modification with the court, deposed his wife, and requested she submit to a vocational assessment. Through these actions, the firm established that she had not worked for 12 years, but was only 2 courses away from her teaching degree which has a significant earning potential. She was cohabitating with a boyfriend and that she had received a sizable inheritance. These factors lead to the presumption that she did not need support and the Court terminated Chris’ obligation for support.
"I am so blessed to have found the right firm to represent me in this ugly matter."
